TAIKO, TEA & CHAT FOR SENIORS 2026

Reiko Healy’s teaching experience and her infectious enthusiasm will have you beating in metrical unison and sharing this positive energy whilst experiencing a touch of Japanese culture.
All equipment will be supplied.

INTRODUCTION TO ADVANCED WALKING

Do you want to get fitter? Do you want to push yourself? If so, come and join us on two walks of approximately 8-10 kms at a medium to hard pace with an essential coffee stop (approximately 3 hours).

Learn a few bush skills and meet like-minded adventurers as we walk mostly on paths with no bush bashing.

​First Walk:

When: Tuesday 16th June @ 08.30 am

Where: Meet at Club Sapphire, Merimbula at rear car park.

Second Walk:

When: Tuesday 23rd June @ 8.30 am

Where: Meet at the Tura Beach Car Park (Cnr Surf Cc. & Tura Beach Dve)

RICKETY KATE

Come and play this old Australian card game with Course Leader Dalton Neville as you learn to avoid old Rickety Kate, the Queen of Spades! Bring your lucky deck of cards (if you have one!) and join the game.

BOTANICAL DRAWING WITH GRAPHITE

Sandra l'Anson, the current President of the Botanical Art Society of Australia will be leading this course for beginners, or those wishing to revisit their drawing skills. This short course will focus on observational drawing using graphite pencils to create realistic drawings of botanical subjects.

WHEN: Weekly on Wednesdays @ 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm

WHERE: Merimbula RSL, 52-54 Main Street, Bowls Room (downstairs at rear)

COST: TBA depending on what supplies Sandra has to provide.

NB: Currently, there is a wait list for this course.
