​The Slow Food Group gathering is locked in for Wednesday, 9 December 2020. It will be held at Wheelers Restaurant, commencing at 3 pm. A tasting menu containing 6 scrumptious tasting canapes of local, regional, and seasonal produce will be served based on dietary options. Wheelers is also offering small tastings of wine matched to the dishes for purchase on the day. At this first event, you will gain an understanding of Slow Food along with how you can contribute ideas for the future direction of our group. Paul West of River Cottage Australia fame will be our guest speaker.

Elizabeth Stacey has been a teacher and academic for over 40 years with her most recent teaching and research in the development of a university course for teachers in adult and higher education. She has provided guidance and mentoring for a number of U3A members setting up new courses or planning presentations and is willing to discuss your ideas with you and recommend strategies to solve issues and help give you confidence in your teaching and presentation. -Numbers at any one time are limited to 11 persons (plus course leader). -On entering the centre you are required to:

-use the hand sanitiser provided and -register on the Covid 19 register.

-Social distancing of 1.5m is required.

-After each class held at TBC all furniture and equipment is thoroughly cleaned.

-Some members choose to wear masks though under the current regulations this is not mandatory.

U3A Sapphire Coast Office hours are Fridays from 1:30pm - 3:30pm at the Tura Beach Centre.  The Office will be closed during NSW School Holidays.
