About The Event

Paul Strutynski suggests that modern human conceptions of gods have evolved over time from earlier, more primitive mental pictures of gods, much as animal species have gradually evolved from more primitive forms. This is especially the case for the Christian concept of god, which has seemingly evolved from beliefs in earlier, similar gods in surrounding Middle-Eastern lands. This seems striking evidence that our god is just as man-made as all the other gods from which it has obviously descended.
